  • ADHD raises PTSD risk: People with ADHD are about 2.4× more likely to develop PTSD than their own siblings without ADHD (large sibling-comparison study). PMC

  • When ADHD and PTSD co-occur: Studies show more severe symptoms, worse functioning, and harder clinical courses than PTSD alone; comorbidity rates in adult samples often ~28–36%. PubMed+1

  • ADHD & suicidality: Adult ADHD is linked to elevated suicidal ideation/behaviors in clinical and population studies. Treating ADHD is associated (observationally) with lower suicidal behavior. BioMed Central+1

  • Rejection sensitivity matters: High rejection sensitivity (the core of RSD) is associated with suicidal ideation pathways (via thwarted belongingness) in psychiatric samples.
