When a Veteran Reaches Out, Someone Should Answer
Veterans of the Storm supports veterans who are struggling, falling through the cracks, or not getting what they need from traditional systems. We offer online veteran-to-veteran support, guidance, and continued connection so no one has to fight through it alone.

Program Overview
Veterans of the Storm is an online, non-clinical support and care-navigation program for veterans who feel overwhelmed, isolated, unheard, or stuck trying to figure things out alone. Our goal is to make sure no veteran reaches out for help and gets ignored, misdirected, or dropped after the first conversation.
When a veteran contacts the program, they connect with a Veteran Peer Support Specialist who provides emotional support, listens without judgment, helps identify immediate concerns, and stays connected throughout the process. If additional help is needed, a Case Manager/Care Navigator helps with appointments, VA and community resources, benefits navigation, and follow-up.
This program is built around continued support. We do not just give veterans a phone number and send them away. We help them take the next step, stay involved as they move through the process, and give them a place to come back to if an appointment or referral does not go the way it should.
Veterans of the Storm is not therapy or medical treatment. It is a non-clinical program that provides connection, guidance, and practical support so veterans can move toward the care, services, and resources that fit their needs.

JOIN US
Veterans who join the platform can connect with others through member-led groups built around shared experiences, interests, and support needs. Groups may focus on topics like navigating the VA, life after service, stress, isolation, rebuilding routine, or simply staying connected with people who understand. Members can join existing groups or create their own, giving veterans a place to talk, support one another, and build community in a way that feels real and personal. Groups are peer-led community spaces for support and connection. They are not crisis services, therapy, or medical treatment. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, call 988 and press 1, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
